FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.

1
Is Laser Hair Removal treatment painful?

Laser Hair Removal treatment can be somewhat uncomfortable, in particular depending on the area, but this is easily treated. Ice packs and aspirin can help reduce swelling and pain. Also, talk to your doctor about using numbing creams during the procedure.

How is Laser Hair Removal performed?
The doctor zaps each hair with a laser down to the roots, damaging the follicle and allowing for lighter hair growth. Lighter skin with dark hair is more responsive to the treatment than darker skin with dark hair, since the laser is attracted to the dark pigment in the hair. The process can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours.

How long do Restylane results last?
Restylane results last for about six months. They can last longer if the patient takes care of their skin, i.e. staying out of the sun. Following postoperative instructions may not only help patients to recover faster, but may also help preserve results.

Are getting dermal filler treatments painful?
Everyone is different but for the most part, most of our patients report that getting dermal fillers are not very painful at all. Topical anesthetic is used before the injections, and then they are practically pain-free. You probably will not even feel the needle go into the skin.  And the results are well worth any short discomfort.

Does Botox have side effects?
Every medical procedure has some risk or side effects, and Botox is no exception. We at Beautech understand your concern, and take this into account with every patient. Botox has been carefully reviewed by the FDA, and approved for specific medical uses. Your doctor will be able to tell you more about the complications, remedies and risks. Common Botox side effects include pain at the injection points, redness, flu-like symptoms and nausea and headache. On occasion, patients may experience muscle weakness or drooping of the upper eyelid muscles. These symptoms normally disappear within days, or occasionally months, after the procedure. If you begin feeling a great deal of pain or experience unusual symptoms, call your doctor immediately.

How long should I wait between Botox or Dysport treatments?
Again, everyone is different and your timeline depends on a lot of factors. For instance, the amount of Botox or Dysport you get, how the bottle was reconstituted or mixed, and how deep the wrinkles or lines are can all play a part in how long the treatment lasts. Deep lines will only fade for 3-4 months, while fine ones could disappear for up to six. And if you exercise on a daily basis, you’ll note that Botox and Dysport can wear off a lot faster.
