Laser Hair Removal treatment can be somewhat uncomfortable, in particular depending on the area, but this is easily treated. Ice packs and aspirin can help reduce swelling and pain. Also, talk to your doctor about using numbing creams during the procedure.

The doctor zaps each hair with a laser down to the roots, damaging the follicle and allowing for lighter hair growth. Lighter skin with dark hair is more responsive to the treatment than darker skin with dark hair, since the laser is attracted to the dark pigment in the hair. The process can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours.

Topical anesthetic is used before the injections, and then they are practically pain-free. You probably will not even feel the needle go into the skin.  And the results are well worth any short discomfort.
